SPECTORS is a Dutch-German high-tech initiative for the development of the market potential of civilian drone technology through sensor innovations for remote sensing and remote monitoring. The civilian market for the use of drones and associated sensor technology in the areas of remote monitoring, remote sensing, film production and agriculture is immense. The US portal "Business Insider" alone estimates the market potential of civilian drones technology in the next 10 years to over 12 billion USD. SPECTORS uses this market potential to add value in the region. The interdisciplinary project activities create a variety of products (demonstrators) with the associated processes and services based on the new hardware and software. These are distributed and offered by the regional SMEs concerned. SPECTORS means: - 18 new products focusing on sensor and drones technology for remote sensing and monitoring, - an interdisciplinary and complementary consortium of 31 partners - including 20 SMEs alone, - Total competence from the network from the idea to the commercialization of the different products, - 40 new jobs during the project period, 50 more in the following 5 years, - Securing more than 840 workplaces in companies and research facilities, - Internal and external workshops and symposia for interested parties, producers and users.
