    The project is addressing one of the main problems in the CBC area - significant health inequalities that are closely related to social, economic and environmental disadvantages (e.g. lack of access to quality health care, healthy food, safe drinking water, clean air, safe conditions for physical activity opportunities for education and employment). With the implementation of its objectives the project will try to give an opportunity of all people to to share the benefits of the activities of the health system and other sectors related to health, and will put particular emphasis on those who are disproportionately burdened by poor health. The objective of the project is to enhance the capacity for common cross-border cooperation in the field of health services in Berkovitsa and Bailesti Municipalities through creation of opportunities for the people in the distant villages to have adequate health care and supply of modern and innovative equipment for the municipal hospitals. This objective will be realised through implementation of activities for creation regional cross border networks between the health institutions and increase the capacity of medical experts, development of common study and policies, elaboration of common information tool and supply of modern equipment for the hospitals and publicity campaign. The result will be increased capacity of the health institutions, created cooperation networks, trained human resources, along with connection among stakeholders and with communities. (English)
