    Velco brandbeveiliging, begonnen met brandblusserverkoop en -onderhoud, heeft inmiddels een totaalpakket met daarin ook noodverlichting, BHV/EHBO trainingen en bedrijfsnoodplannen. De mensen van Velco werken steeds vaker in multi-disciplinaire teams: verschillende vakdisciplines werken samen voor een gemeenschappelijk doel, bijvoorbeeld het verzorgen van een compleet brandveiligheidspakket voor een klant. Dit vraagt natuurlijk veel zelfsturing en flexibiliteit van werknemers, veel samenwerken en communiceren en veel kennisdelen. Bij standaard vakopleidingen leer je dat niet, leren op de werkvloer wordt dus steeds belangrijker. Velco wil een organisatie zijn waarin het vanzelfsprekend is kennis te delen en van elkaar te leren, rekening te houden met elkaars kennisbehoeftes en actief samen te werken over de grenzen van disciplines heen. Met het project 'Handvatten voor een lerende organisatie – deel 2' geeft Velco deze ontwikkelingen een boost. Via acties gericht op zowel werknemers, organisatie als techniek, ontwikkelt Velco zich verder tot een gezond, modern bedrijf waaraan ook in de toekomst mensen zich langdurig, adequaat en gemotiveerd kunnen verbinden.
