Projekt će riješiti prometne gužve, ugroženu prometnu sigurnosi, prekapacitiranosti trajekta što je bitno za gospodarski razvoj i kvalitetu života na otoku.Cilj projekta je, premještanjem luke iz centra Vela Luke u novi terminal na prostoru ispred bivše tvornice “Jadranka”, povećati kapacitet u obalnom linijskom prometu, što će lokalnom stanovništvu pružiti bolju dostupnost zapošljavanja, obrazovanja i drugih usluga tijekom cijele godine.Izgraditi će se 3 veza za javni promet s potrebnim pratećim parkirališnim prostorom koji će biti dostupan za korisnike luke bez naplate i putevi za slijepe i slabovidne osobe.Ukupna vrijednost projekta je 111.232.917,60 HRK. Prihvatljivi troškovi su 90.813.774,96 HRK. Trajanje projekta je 52 mjeseca. (Croatian)

The project will address congestion, vulnerable road transport, overcapacity in the ferry, which is vital for economic development and the quality of life on the otoks.The project aims, by relocating the Vela port facility in the new terminal in front of the former ‘Jadranka’ factory, to increase capacity in scheduled coastal traffic, which will provide local populations with better access to employment, education and other services throughout the year. the project will build 3 public transport connections with the necessary supporting parking space available to users of the port without collection and routes for blind and visually impaired persons. the total value of the project is HRK 111.232.917,60. The eligible costs are HRK 90.813.774,96. The duration of the project is 52 months. (English)
