The aim of the planned research activity is to research and develop Thulium-based ultrashort pulse lasers with the highest performance characteristics. It is important to evaluate the technological and economic possibilities of Thulium technology, to build up knowledge about how to handle Thulium fibers and corresponding components, about system design and characterisation and applications within the AFS, as well as to adapt well-known approaches from ytterbium technology. (further information can be taken from the installation) (English)
