The objective of the PERSE project is to improve the accuracy of parallel positioning robots by controlling temperature variations and their effects. (*) Robot whose main function is to reach a given position and be able to maintain it over time. These precision robots are used in the fields of space, defence, medical... The research programme will be structured around two identified research axes. — The first research axis proposes a new method to control the effects of external and internal temperature variations in the robot. — The second foresees the development of a new positioning robot of very high precision. The prototype developed will be based on the development of active thermal solution. The proposed project aims to develop and validate innovative concepts quickly applicable to industrial robots developed by Symetry. This work will significantly improve the accuracy and stability of parallel robots. The PERSE project is an R&D project aimed at creating a long-term partnership between public research and industry. L'objectif du projet PERSE est d'améliorer la précision des robots positionneurs(*) parallèles grâce à la maîtrise des variations de température et de leurs effets. (*) Robot dont la fonction principale est d'atteindre une position donnée et d'être capable de la maintenir dans le temps. Ces robots de précision sont notamment utilisés dans les domaines du spatial, de la défense, du médical... Le programme de recherche s'articulera autour de deux axes de recherche identifiés. - Le premier axe de recherche propose une nouvelle méthode pour maîtriser les effets des variations de température externe et interne au robot. - Le second prévoit le développement d'un nouveau robot de positionnement de très haute précision. Le prototype développé s'appuiera sur le développement de solution thermique active. Le projet proposé vise à développer et valider des concepts innovants applicables rapidement sur les robots industriels développés par Symétrie. Ces travaux permettront d'améliorer très significativement la précision et la stabilité des robots parallèles. Le projet PERSE est un projet de R&D visant à créer un partenariat de long terme entre la recherche publique et le monde industriel. Il réunit deux partenaires : le laboratoire d'Informatique, de Robotique et de Microélectronique de Montpellier (UMR 5506 dont les co-tutelles sont l'Université de Montpellier et le CNRS) et l’entreprise SYMETRIE - Dépt. 30), PME créée en 2001, spécialisée dans la conception mécanique de précision.
