The course is geared to the current needs of the labour market in Münster, i.e. placement opportunities in e.g. commercial, technical and craft occupations (production employees/assistants, painters, construction, metal construction, etc.) as well as service activities (transport, sales, catering, etc.) and healthcare (e.g. care for the elderly). Since almost all participants always need professional orientation in relation to various occupational areas, this course addresses several named and, if necessary, further occupational fields. The focus of the course is on teaching and refreshing communication skills that are important for working life (action-oriented communication training with topics related to work and examples of dialogues with colleagues, superiors, clients, writing skills and reading comprehension, importance of occupational social/personal skills in working life with conflict training, current labour market, learning strategies and working techniques). In addition to language teaching, a qualification module is offered, consisting of specialised lessons and a multi-week internship including learning days. The content of the course is a job-related language training, basics of mathematics and computer use, professional studies, application training, targeted preparation for the internship, the transfer of knowledge about the local and regional labour market, company visits and the reflection and evaluation of the overall measure. During the learning days, the participants will reflect on their practical experiences, develop solutions for emerging problems and evaluate the overall measure at the end. The majority of participants have a level of A1 and A2 at the beginning of the course. The aim is to improve their language level by one level (A2 and B1) at the end of the course. (English)

Der Kurs ist am aktuellen Bedarf des Arbeitsmarktes in Münster ausgerichtet, das heißt an Vermittlungsmöglichkeiten in z.B. gewerblich-technische und handwerkliche Berufsfelder (Produktionsmitarbeiter /-helfer, Maler, Baugewerbe, Metallbau u. a.) sowie Dienstleistungstätigkeiten (Transportgewerbe, Verkauf, Gastronomie u. a.) und Gesundheitswesen (z.B. Altenpflege). (German)
