Das ehemalige Werksgelände II der Firma Otto Limburg ("OLI II") in Bürstadt liegt seit der Betriebsaufgabe Ende der 1980er Jahre brach. Das Gelände ist in Folge der früheren Metallverarbeitung mit Bodenverunreinigungen belastet und nach einem Brand mit Gewerberuinen versehen. Ziele sind die Behebung eines langjährigen städtebaulichen Missstands, die Entwicklung eines innenstadtnahen Wohnbaugebiets sowie die Entsiegelung baulich intensiv genutzter Gewerbegrundstücke. The former plant site II of Otto Limburg (“OLI II”) in Bürstadt has been broken since the end of the 1980s. As a result of previous metal processing, the site is contaminated with soil contamination and after a fire it is covered with industrial ruins. The objectives are to remedy a long-standing urban maladministration, to develop a residential development area close to the city centre, and to unblock structurally intensively used commercial land.
