The aim of the project is to innovate and modernise teaching aids, machinery and educational environment of the Secondary Industrial School – Ipari Szakközépiskola, Petőfi 2 in Komárno to make studying more attractive and better prepare graduates for the current needs of the labour market. The school has been shaping quality professionals in the domestic and foreign labour market for over six decades. The school currently teaches three teaching disciplines – engineering, electrical engineering and technical and IT services in engineering – in two teaching languages in Slovak and Hungarian. Equipping laboratories, classrooms and school workshops with the new modern technology will make it possible to increase the number of practical lessons for pupils, which will help to increase their professional readiness in line with the school education programme and employers’ needs.  The project will be implemented through two interconnected activities – the purchase of machinery, equipment and equipment in laboratories and professional classrooms and the necessary building modifications of the premises of the school workshops in connection with the placement of new technology. Together, both activities will contribute to the achievement of IROP objectives – an increase in the number of pupils in practical teaching. The project activities are planned to be carried out over a period of 18 months, with an estimated cost of EUR 1 509 710.51, of which the support of ESI Funds and the state budget amounts to 95 %, i.e. EUR 1 434 225.01 and the co-financing of the NSK amounting to EUR 75 485.50. By innovating the machinery park for practical preparation, modernisation of technical and software equipment of professional workshops and laboratories, we will provide suitable conditions for students to verify their theoretical knowledge and acquire practical skills. Vybavenie laboratórií, odborných učební a školských dielní novou modernou technikou umožní zvýšiť  počet hodín praktického vyučovania pre žiakov, čo prispeje k zvýšeniu ich odbornej pripravenosti v súlade so školským vzdelávacím programom a potrebami zamestnávateľov.  Projekt bude realizovaný prostredníctvom dvoch navzájom prepojených aktivít - nákup strojov, prístrojov a zariadení do laboratórií a odborných učební a nevyhnutné stavebné úpravy priestorov školských dielní v súvislosti s umiestnením novej techniky.
