The general objective of the project is to increase the access and participation in university education and the attractiveness of educational offers at the level of the partner universities, by providing entrepreneurial programs, remedies, counselling and professional guidance services and awarding scholarships for 420 students from disadvantaged backgrounds, by improving professional competences for 75 teachers, by developing 3 innovative educational offers and related to the labour market, as well as through awareness-raising activities for 50 students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Thus, the proposed project responds to the imperatives mentioned in the specific objectives of the Programme through the following main elements: increasing participation in third-party university and non-university education organised within the accredited higher education, especially for those from vulnerable groups (OS 6.7.); improving the level of competence of the teaching staff from third-party university and non-university education organised within accredited higher education institutions in terms of innovative educational content and modern and flexible learning resources (OS 6.9); diversification of educational offers into third-tertiary university and non-university technical education organised within accredited higher education institutions correlated with labour market needs in economic sectors/areas identified by SNC and SNCDI (OS 6.10). The project tries to respond to challenges faced by the Romanian higher education system, in the wider context of access, quality and equity. By achieving these objectives, the project will contribute, in the long term, to the improvement of third-country education, especially for disadvantaged categories, by reducing the rate of abandonment of third-party studies and by developing educational offers linked to the labour market for teaching staff in higher education. At the same time, the aim of the project is part of the general objective of the Human Capital Operational Programme, because through the development and improvement of third-party education we aim to develop human capital in order to be able to cope with the labour market requirements of the economic sectors/areas identified by SNC and SNCDI. The proposed project seeks to respond to challenges faced by vulnerable students from disadvantaged backgrounds (with a focus on Roma, rural and non-traditional students), high school students who are, in the majority, at risk (from low-income families, are part of Roma, live in rural areas, have special educational requirements, etc.), teachers and higher education system in Romania, in the wider context of access, quality and equity. The achievement of the objectives and results assumed will contribute in the long term to the improvement of the (English)
