Five owners of cultural and natural heritage objects from Liepaja, Pāvilosta, Nīca and Grobiņa have joined the project “The Heritage of South Kurzeme through the centuries”. The project partners are united by efforts to protect and preserve the unique natural and cultural heritage of the South Kurzeme region, and a common vision of how to develop and improve cultural and historical objects into multifunctional, well-maintained, spacious and accessible sites. The aim of the project is to preserve, restore and develop the cultural and natural heritage of the southern Kurzeme coast by improving the tourism offer of cultural and natural heritage sites of different periods, the infrastructure necessary for their development and creating new services. Parts of the territory of the monument of national importance “The Historical Centre of Liepaja City”: 1.1. restoration and reconstruction of the living building/hotel (Madam Hoijere hotel) and renovation of the territory of the “Kungu quarter” courtyard; 1.2. reconstruction of the concert garden “Pūt, winds!” and improvement of the adjacent territory;2. Church/cultural monument – facade of Liepaja Holy Trinity Cathedral and restoration of tower;3. Significant parts of the coastal city – Pavilosta city flood promenade near Pāvilosta Local History Museum;4. Cultural and historical landscapes – restoration of Vērgale Manor complex and territory improvement;5. Landscapes/natural park characterising the coastline – nature park “Bernāti” in Nīca county (Natura 2000 territory) – territory improvement, development of trails and installation of environmental objects;6. Development of the Ālandes River recreation complex, including a cultural monument – Grobiņa archaeological ensemble, including Grobiņa medieval castle with bastions, Skabāržkalns and ancient town, Priedien antiques. During the implementation of the project, construction supervision and author supervision, as well as publicity measures will be provided.The result of the project is that in 2023, compared to 2015, the number of visits to the cultural and natural heritage sites included in the project will increase by 56 100 visitors, as well as 17 new services (including improved quality) will be created. The developed facilities will be available for visitors 120-365 days a year. The total cost of the project is EUR 8944758,55, including. EUR 4760069.58 funding from the European Regional Development Fund.The project is planned to be implemented by the end of 2021, starting in the third quarter of 2018. (English)

    Projektā “Dienvidkurzemes piekrastes mantojums cauri gadsimtiem” (turpmāk tekstā - Projekts) apvienojušies pieci kultūras un dabas mantojuma objektu īpašnieki no Liepājas, Pāvilostas, Nīcas un Grobiņas novadiem. Projekta partnerus vieno centieni aizsargāt un saglabāt Baltijas jūras piekrastes Dienvidkurzemes reģiona unikālo dabas un kultūras mantojumu, un kopīgs redzējums, kā attīstīt un pilnveidot kultūrvēsturiskos objektus par daudzfunkcionāliem, labiekārtotiem, plašai mērķauditorijai paredzētiem un pieejamiem objektiem. Projekta mērķis ir saglabāt, atjaunot un attīstīt Dienvidkurzemes piekrastes kultūrvēsturisko un dabas mantojumu, pilnveidojot dažādu laika posmu kultūrvēsturisko un dabas mantojuma objektu tūrisma piedāvājumu, to attīstībai nepieciešamo infrastruktūru un radot jaunus pakalpojumus.Projektā plānotās darbības:1. Valsts nozīmes pilsētbūvniecības pieminekļa "Liepājas pilsētas vēsturiskais centrs" teritorijas daļas: 1.1. dzīvojāmās ēkas/ viesnīcas (Madam Hoijeres viesnīca) restaurācija un pārbūve un "Kungu kvartāla" pagalma teritorijas labiekārtojuma atjaunošana;1.2. koncertdārza “Pūt, vējiņi!” pārbūve un pieguļošās teritorijas labiekārtošana;2. Baznīcas/ kultūras pieminekļa - Liepājas Svētās Trīsvienības katedrāles fasādes un torņa restaurācija;3. Nozīmīgas piekrastes pilsētas daļas - Pāvilostas pilsētas pretplūdu promenādes pie Pāvilostas novadpētniecības muzeja izbūve;4. Kultūrvēsturiskās ainavas - Vērgales muižas kompleksa atjaunošana un teritorijas labiekārtošana;5. Piekrasti raksturojošās ainavas/ dabas parka - dabas parka “Bernāti” Nīcas novadā (Natura 2000 teritorija) - teritorijas labiekārtošana, taku izveide un vides objektu uzstādīšana;6. Ālandes upes atpūtas kompleksa izveide, iekļaujot kultūras pieminekli - Grobiņas arheoloģisko ansambli, ietverot Grobiņas viduslaiku pili ar bastioniem, Skabāržkalnu un senpilsētu, Priediena senkapus. Projekta īstenošanas laikā, veicot būvdarbus, tiks nodrošināta būvuzraudzība un autoruzraudzība, kā arī Projekta publicitātes pasākumi.Projekta rezultātā paredzēts, ka 2023.gadā, salīdzinot ar 2015.gadu, projektā iekļautajos kultūras un dabas mantojuma objektos apmeklējumu skaits pieaugs par 56 100 apmeklētājiem, kā arī būs izveidoti 17 jaunradīti (t.sk. kvalitatīvi pilnveidoti) pakalpojumi. Attīstītie objekti apmeklētājiem būs pieejami 120 – 365 dienas gadā. Kopējās Projekta izmaksas ir 8 944 758,55 euro, t.sk. 4 760 069,58 euro Eiropas Reģionālās attīstības fonda finansējums.Projektu plānots īstenot līdz 2021.gada beigām, to uzsākot 2018.gada trešajā ceturksnī.
