Cílem projektu je - výstavbou smíšené stezky pro pěší a cyklisty - umožnit obyvatelům a návštěvníkům města Doksy bezpečný pohyb pěšky či na kole mezi jádrovou částí města a jeho místní částí - přidruženou obcí Obora a tím zvýšit podíl těchto druhů dopravy na celkové dopravě ve městě.
