    Celem ogólnym projektu jest poprawa jakości oraz zapobieganie degradacji środowiska poprzez ograniczanie zanieczyszczeń wód i gleby oraz ochronę naturalnych ekosystemów.Cele bezpośrednie to: • zwiększenie liczby gospodarstw domowych, indywidualnych gospodarstw rolnych i przedsiębiorstw podłączonych do sieci kanalizacji sanitarnej, • dostosowanie stanu infrastruktury technicznej do potrzeb użytkowników, • dociążenie oczyszczalni ścieków (obecne wykorzystanie ok. 77 %, po realizacji projektu 80%), • ograniczenie niekontrolowanego zrzutu ścieków sanitarnych do odbiorników,• poprawa warunków życia mieszkańców gminy Medyka, - ochrona jakości wód powierzchniowych i podziemnych,- uporządkowanie gospodarki ściekowej,- wzrost atrakcyjności inwestycyjnej terenów objętych projektem,- stworzenie możliwości do powstania i rozwoju przedsiębiorstw świadczących usługi na rzecz ludności gminy,- stworzenie warunków do rozwoju turystyki, w tym agroturystyki.Planowana do wybudowania sieć kanalizacji uzupełniającej będzie przebiegała przez teren miejscowości Jaksmanice, Medyka, Hurko i Hureczko.Budowa kanalizacji uzupełniającej w Gminie Medyka jest zgodna z zapotrzebowaniem mieszkańców i podmiotów gospodarczych, którzy aktualnie nie mogą skorzystać z sieci kanalizacyjnej.W wyniku realizacji projektu powstanie: 3,14 km sieci kanalizacyjnej.Przyłączonych do sieci kanalizacji sanitarnych zostanie 300 mieszkańców oraz 51 przedsiębiorstw i podmiotów publicznych. Zaprojektowano kanalizację: grawitacyjno – ciśnieniową, tłoczną, dwie przepompownie ścieków oraz oświetlenie za pomocą lamy hybrydowej (OZE).Wskaźniki produktu : Długość wybudowanej kanalizacji sanitarnej : 3,14 km Liczba wybudowanych przepompowni ścieków - 2 szt.
