The project consists of: the launch and operation of a special kindergarten for children with autism and intellectual disabilities with 8 seats, raising the competence of kindergarten teachers and establishing a network of cooperation and self-education of teachers dealing with this type of child in other institutions. The kindergarten will be run by the Polish Society for Combating the Calectw Branch in Przemyśl. It has been a pioneer since 1995 in organising classes for children with autism and support for their parents in the city of Przemyśl and its surroundings. As a result of the project, 8 children with these disorders will be looked after, 8 teachers will raise their qualifications and skills. The project’s target group shall be: children of preschool age affected by autism or other intellectual disabilities, teachers employed in kindergarten and teachers from other centres. The project’s tasks shall include: modernisation of nursery facilities and their facilities in accordance with the needs of children and kindergarten staff and types of activities; diagnostic and therapeutic equipment; conducting kindergarten activities for the period of 1 year with speech therapy, correction and compensation, educational, exercise, corrective gymnastics, dog therapy, alternative communication and therapeutic methods with music; enhancing teachers’ competences and skills through training in new therapies and self-training; networking and self-training with teachers from other centres. Projekt zakłada: uruchomienie i funkcjonowanie przedszkola specjalnego dla dzieci z autyzmem i niepełnosprawnościami intelektualnymi posiadającego 8 miejsc, podniesienie kompetencji nauczycieli przedszkola oraz stworzenie sieci współpracy i samokształcenia nauczycieli zajmujących się tego typu dziećmi w innych placówkach. Przedszkole będzie prowadzone przez Polskie Towarzystwo Walki z Kalectwem Oddział w Przemyślu. Jest ono pionierem od roku 1995 w organizowaniu zajęć dla dzieci z autyzmem i wsparcia dla ich rodziców na terenie miasta Przemyśla i okolic. W wyniku realizacji projektu opieką zostanie objętych 8 dzieci z wymienionymi zaburzeniami, 8 nauczycieli podniesie swoje kwalifikacje i umiejętności. Grupą docelową projektu są: dzieci w wieku przedszkolnym dotknięte autyzmem lub innymi niepełnosprawnościami intelektualnymi, nauczyciele zatrudnieni w przedszkolu oraz nauczyciele z innych ośrodków. Zadania projektu obejmują: modernizację pomieszczeń przedszkola i ich wyposażenie zgodnie z potrzebami dzieci i kadry przedszkola oraz rodzajami zajęć; wyposażenie w sprzęt diagnostyczny i terapeutyczny; prowadzenie działalności przedszkola przez okres 1 roku z zajęciami logopedycznymi, korekcyjno-kompensacyjnymi, edukacyjnymi, ruchowymi, gimnastyką korekcyjną, dogoterapią, alternatywnymi metodami komunikacji oraz terapeutycznych z muzyką; poszerzenie kompetencji i umiejętności nauczycieli poprzez szkolenia z nowych metod terapii oraz samokształcenia; utworzenie sieci współpracy i samokształcenia z nauczycielami z innych ośrodków.
