At present, the biggest challenge is to achieve the ability to quickly and cheap sequencing integrated with advanced analysis of results. Despite the progress of genome knowledge, the process of introducing patient gene information into clinical practice is very slow. The idea of precision medicine requires the development of innovative systems of genome interpretation, capable of generating diagnostic reports for multiple disease units. The aim of the project is to implement an IT platform that will automatically search available sources of genetic information and databases containing functional descriptions of the human genome. The result of the search will be structured knowledge, which will then be the basis for the production of automates generating clinically useful diagnostic reports – GeneTraps. Each of these reports will be devoted to a separate medical unit or the effects of one medicine. Thanks to the reports generated by GeneTraps, the doctor of the chosen specialisation will be able to obtain interesting information without having to delve into the methodology of genome analysis.     Numer_referencyjny_programu_pomocowego: SA.41471(2015/X) Przeznaczenie_pomocy_publicznej: art. 25 rozporządzenia KE nr 651/2014 z dnia 17 czerwca 2014 r. uznające niektóre rodzaje pomocy za zgodne z rynkiem wewnętrznym w stosowaniu art. 107 i 108 Traktatu (Dz. Urz. UE L 187/1 z 26.06.2014). Medycyna precyzyjna to podejście, w którym lekarze dysponujący wiedzą o predyspozycjach genetycznych pacjenta mogą zaproponować spersonalizowaną terapię – dopasowaną do konkretnego przypadku. W momencie, kiedy cena odczytu wszystkich genów człowieka spadła poniżej 4000 PLN rozpoczął się wyścig o to, kto pierwszy wdroży predykcyjną i diagnostyczną moc sekwencjonowania genomu do opieki zdrowotnej. Obecnie największym wyzwaniem jest uzyskanie zdolności do szybkiego i taniego sekwencjonowania zintegrowanego z zaawansowaną analizą wyników. Pomimo postępu wiedzy dotyczącej genomu proces wprowadzania informacji o genach pacjenta do praktyki klinicznej jest bardzo powolny. Idea medycyny precyzyjnej wymaga rozbudowy innowacyjnych systemów interpretacji genomu, posiadających możliwość generowania raportów diagnostycznych dla wielu jednostek chorobowych. Celem projektu jest wdrożenie informatycznej platformy, która będzie automatycznie przeszukiwała dostępne źródła informacji genetycznej oraz bazy zawierające funkcjonalne opisy genomu człowieka. Wynikiem przeszukiwania będzie ustrukturyzowana wiedza, która następnie będzie podstawą produkcji automatów generujących klinicznie użyteczne raporty diagnostyczne - GeneTraps. Każdy z tych raportów będzie poświęcony odrębnej jednostce chorobowej lub efektom działania jednego leku. Dzięki raportom generowanym przez GeneTraps lekarz wybranej specjalizacji będzie mógł pozyskać interesującą go informację bez konieczności wgłębiania się w metodykę analizy genomu. (Polish)
