Przedmiotem projektu jest przebudowa i adaptacja obiektu cechowni, łaźni, szatni i administracji wraz z zagospodarowaniem terenu, wchodzących w skład kompleksu obiektów dawnej koplani węgla kamiennego Saturn, z przeznaczeniem na Postindustrialne Centrum Dziedzictwa Górnictwa Węglowego w Zagłębiu. Projekt zakłada zmianę sposobu użytkowania budynku na cele muzealne, biblioteczne, edukacyjne wraz z zapleczem administracyjno-biurowym oraz adaptację części budynku na cele gastronomiczne (funkcjonującą wyłącznie na potrzeby prowadzenia działalności kulturalnej).W ramach projektu wykonane zostanie również zagospodarowanie terenu wokół obiektu z urządzeniem terenów do zabaw dla dzieci, odpoczynku dla dorosłych oraz miejsca parkingowe.
