    Project focuses on development and encouragement of cross border cooperation in the area of rural and festival tourism amongst the public institutions and other stakeholders in tourism sector through organization of common festival, transfer of knowledge and experience. Also the project will build the tolerance and respect towards cultures and tradition of different ethnics in both regions. Project has a fairly sizeable impact on joint presentation of common traditional and cultural heritage as a tool for sustainable tourist development of cross border region through popularization of the values of the tradition and folklore. Particularly, the CB impact is summarized as follows: Presentation of mutual cultural folklore and musical heritage; supporting of cooperation in the area of rural development; Supportive investments and supply in cultural and festival infrastructure and public facilities. The joint staffing & financing, equal participation of the team members during the implementation of the project, the participation of tourist enterprises, NGOs and local authority representatives from both countries at the planned project events, study tour and in the process of preparation of study for development of rural tourism in municipality of Pehcevo will have direct and significant impact on numerous of future cooperation activities in the area of tourism and culture. Also project will contribute to the sustainable development by adding values on the tourist products. Good practice from rural tourism presented which will serve as an example for followers after the project expires and will guarantee the sustainability of the outcomes of the project. (English)
