The overall idea of the project is the development of training programmes for cruise managers (for a later full-time employment) and guides (part-time/ seasonal jobs) in the South Baltic area with specific knowledge of the Small Cruise Ship (SCS) sector and knowledge about the small and medium sized cities. The project’s activities include the development of cruise management curricula, professional cruise guide staff trainings, certification for skills trained as well as the university seminar for cruise managers. The implementation will include a summer camp with a practical part on a vessel, webinars and seminars, evaluation report on the training curricula as well as a sustainability report and a concept on how to adopt the cruise management exams to other universities. The main target groups are students of tourism, economics/business or nautical sciences, school graduates, personnel on parental leave as well as institutions and organizations: universities, tourist offices and SCS Cruise Lines. The target groups will be reached through job centers, chambers of commerce, kindergartens, networks such as UBC and as well social media. (English)
