The town of Bátonyterenye is also known as “Palócland”, located in the eastern part of Nógrád county, north of Mátra, touching the Cserhát Mountains from the east, in the valley of Zagyva and Taryan streams. It passes through the settlement and is affected by the highway No. 21 and the main transport route 23, which is branched out from it. Our city is located about 100 km from Budapest, 15 km from the county seat, 25 km from Slovakia, in a wide valley with several branches. The administrative unit, which covers nearly 8000 hectares, belongs to three small areas: Mátrala (Maconka, uncle), Zagyvavölgye (Kisterenye), the edge of Central Cherhát (Kisterenye, Supatak). On June 28, 2003, the Municipality of Bátonyterenye established a public benefit company for the establishment and operation of a school swimming pool. As a result of the transformation of the public benefit company, Bátonyterenyei Tanuszoda Létuszoda Nonprofit Kft. was established on 26 June 2009, and since 1 May 2017, Bátonyterenyei Public Educational, Urban Library and Facility Operator Nonprofit Kft was established with the change of the name and scope of the company’s activities. A non-profit-making company, 100 % owned by the Municipality of Bátonyterenye, carries out its activities in the cultural and community facilities of the Municipality. The Bátonyterenye Public Educational, Urban Library and Facilities Manager Nonprofit Limited Liability Company’s profile includes the operation of the Tanuszoda, the operation of the Ady Endre Cultural Center and Library, as well as the maintenance of the community scenes in several settlements of the city — Petőfi Cultural House, Castle Garden Cultural House and Library, Gyürky-Solymossy Castle, Civil House, Tájház, Youth Camp in Strapataki. The institutions operated by a non-profit company are key elements of the city’s cultural and community life. The most popular of these facilities are the Tanuszoda, the Ady Endre Cultural Center and Library, and the Civil House, which serve the needs of the population of the city at all times of the year. At the time of their construction, the institutions were constructed in accordance with the technical requirements at the time, but due to the change in weather conditions (increasing warming) the use of modern building engineering technologies became justified. The planned development is intended to ensure the installation of air-conditioning equipment in the Community spaces of the three installations. The provision of air conditioning equipment to the public spaces operated by Bátonyterenye Public Educational, Urban Library and Facility Operator is linked to the development of the quality of cultural and community spaces as an eligible activity, while project preparation, project management and technical inspector activities are carried out as optional, non-eligible activities. In any case, information and publicity requirements will be ensured among mandatory, ineligible activities. (English)

Bátonyterenye város a "Palócország"- nak is nevezett, Nógrád megye keleti részén, a Mátrától északra, a Cserhát-hegységet keletről érintve, a Zagyva- és Tarján-patakok völgyében található. A településen áthalad, illetve érinti a 21-es, és az ebből kiágazó 23-as számú főközlekedési útvonal. Városunk Budapesttől mintegy 100 km-re, a megyeszékhelytől 15 km-re, Szlovákiától 25 km-re, egy több kiágazású széles völgyben található. A közel 8000 hektáros területen elterülő közigazgatási egység három kistájhoz tartozik: Mátralába (Maconka, Nagybátony), Zagyvavölgye (Kisterenye), Központi-Cserhát széle (Kisterenye, Szúpatak). Bátonyterenye Város Önkormányzata önként vállalt feladatként, 2003. június 28-án tanuszoda létrehozása és üzemeltetése céljából közhasznú társaságot alapított. A közhasznú társaság átalakulásával jött létre 2009. június 26-án a Bátonyterenyei Tanuszoda Létesítményüzemeltető Nonprofit Kft., ezt követően 2017. május 1-től a társaság nevének és tevékenységi körének módosulásával jött létre a Bátonyterenyei Közművelődési, Városi Könyvtár és Létesítményüzemeltető Nonprofit Kft. A Bátonyterenye Város Önkormányzatának 100 %-os tulajdonában lévő nonprofit gazdasági társaság az Önkormányzat kulturális és közösségi létesítményeiben végzi tevékenységét. A Bátonyterenye Közművelődési, Városi Könyvtár és Létesítményüzemeltető Nonprofit Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság profiljába tartozik a Tanuszoda működtetése, kulturális feladatellátási körében az Ady Endre Művelődési Központ és Könyvtár üzemeltetése, valamint a város több településrészén található Közösségi színterek – Petőfi Művelődési Ház, Kastélykerti Művelődési Ház és Könyvtár, Gyürky-Solymossy Kastély, Civilház, Tájház, Szorospataki Ifjúsági Tábor – fenntartása. A nonprofit gazdasági társaság által működtetett intézmények meghatározó elemei a város kulturális és közösségi életének. Ezen létesítmények közül a legnagyobb látogatottsággal a Tanuszoda, az Ady Endre Művelődési Központ és Könyvtár, illetve a Civilház, melyek az év minden időszakában kiszolgálják a város lakosságának igényeit. Az intézmények megépítésük idején az akkori műszaki elvárásoknak megfelelően kerültek kialakításra, azonban az időjárási viszonyok megváltozása (egyre erőteljesebb felmelegedés) miatt a jelenkori épületgépészeti technológiák alkalmazása vált indokolttá. A tervezett fejlesztés a három létesítmény közösségi tereinek légkondicionáló berendezéssel történő felszerelését hivatott biztosítani. A Bátonyterenye Közművelődési, Városi Könyvtár és Létesítményüzemeltető Nonprofit Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság által üzemeltetett létesítmények közösségi tereinek légkondicionáló berendezéssel történő ellátásához önállóan támogatható tevékenységként a kulturális, közösségi terek minőségi fejlesztése kapcsolódik, míg választható, önállóan nem támogatható tevékenységként a projektelőkészítési, a projektmenedzseri és a műszaki ellenőri tevékenységek kerülnek megvalósításra. Kötelezően megvalósítandó, önállóan nem támogatható tevékenységek közül mindenképpen biztosításra kerülnek a tájékoztatásra és nyilvánosságra vonatkozó előírások. (Hungarian)
