The aim of the project is to promote the integration of older socially excluded residents of Biržai city by ensuring the provision of services that meet the needs of the population. During the project, a group of 10 volunteers will be trained to train and advise 40 peers on the use of information communication technology (ICT) tools. Services will be provided on the premises of the Association of Elderly People and at two residential quarters and on invitations to homes. By being able to use ICT tools, the elderly will be more actively involved in social life, will be able to take care of certain services (e.g. payment of taxes, etc.) and interact with their relatives and friends in e-space, which will help to reduce the social exclusion caused by low mobility and difficult economic conditions. Projekto tikslas - skatinti Biržų miesto vyresnio amžiaus socialiai atskirtų gyventojų integraciją, užtikrinant gyventojų poreikius atitinkančių paslaugų teikimą. Projekto metu bus apmokyta 10 savanorių grupė, kurie mokys ir konsultuos 40 bendraamžių naudotis informacinių komunikacijų technologijų (IKT) priemonėmis. Paslaugos bus teikiamos Pagyvenusių žmonių asociacijos patalpose ir gyvenamųjų namų kvartalų dviejose punktuose bei pagal kvietimus į namus. Gebėdami naudotis IKT priemonėmis, pagyvenę gyventojai aktyviau įsilies į socialinį gyvenimą, gebės patys pasirūpinti tam tikromis paslaugomis (pvz. mokesčių mokėjimas ir kt. e-paslaugos), bendraus su savo giminaičiais ir draugais e-erdvėje, o ta padės sumažinti socialinę atskirtį, patiriamą dėl mažo judumo ir sunkios ekonominės padėties.
