The municipality of Haparanda has a higher unemployment than the region as a total, many people are excluded from the labour market and who need or risk needing income support. The focus of this project is to break the negative trend of a growing number of people who are excluded from the labour market. We want to support the individuals and break barriers for how they can (again) become part of the labour force and increase their level of self sufficiency. This project will build upon previous experience and create a methodology for how job coaches in the municipal labour market unit can support people on income support to approach, enter or re-enter the labour market. A core feature of the methodology is to work closely with employers and to strenthen the links between the employers and the individuals who now have a long journey ahead to become part of the labour market. We also aim to strengthen the cooperation with Torneå municipality, to increase the municipal links within a shared labour market region. (English) | |||||||||||||||
