The project for the restoration of dry lawns in the commune of Souzay-Champigny and the animation of the Contract Nature 3 is carried out by the Regional Natural Park Loire-Anjou-Touraine as leader of a collaborative project carried out in partnership with the commune of Souzay-Champigny and the department of Maine-et-Loire. This project is part of a 2017-2019 Nature Contract “Strengthening the continuity of dry lawns and thermophile afforestations in Saumurois”. It includes, on the one hand, the carrying out of felling, grinding and fencing works in order to restore the functionalities of the environments and, on the other hand, the animation and coordination of the system in order to sustain the maintenance of these fields in order to re-create ecological continuity in a sustainable manner in the territory of the NRP. Le projet de restauration de pelouses sèches sur la commune de Souzay-Champigny et d’animation du Contrat nature 3 est porté par le Parc naturel régional Loire-Anjou-Touraine en tant que chef de file d’un projet collaboratif conduit en partenariat avec la commune de Souzay-Champigny et le département du Maine-et-Loire. Ce projet s’inscrit dans le cadre d’un Contrat Nature 2017-2019 "Renforcement des continuités de pelouses sèches et boisements thermophiles du Saumurois". Il comprend, d’une part, la réalisation de travaux d’abattage, de broyage et de pose de clôtures afin de restaurer les fonctionnalités des milieux et, d’autre part, l’animation et la coordination du dispositif afin de pérenniser l’entretien de ces terrain pour recréer de façon durable des continuités écologiques sur le territoire du PNR.
