La société CARAIB MOTER est un acteur clé dans la réalisation de travaux routiers et maritimes et dans la fabrication de béton prêt à l'emploi et d'éléments pré-fabriqués en béton en Martinique. Toutefois, l’approvisionnement de certains des produits nécessaires à la fabrication des enrobés et à la réalisation des travaux ne peut se faire directement sur le territoire martiniquais. Ainsi, le bitume (hormis pour un type de grade de bitume proposé en Martinique), les additifs rentrant dans la fabrication des enrobés doivent être importés. Ces importations indispensables génèrent des coûts de fret significatifs, qui viennent peser sur le compte de résultat de la société. Elles contribuent toutefois, grâce à l’action de CARAIB MOTER, au maintien d'une activité de qualité, en local, dans les travaux routiers et maritimes.
