The aim of the project is to develop a fully automated clean-in-place process for the resource-efficient internal cleaning of containers based on highly active cleaning foams. For this purpose, procedural alternatives for reproducible foam application as well as concepts for application-oriented foam types are developed and optimised by computer-aided simulations. With up to 40 % shorter cleaning times and drastically reduced media consumption for cleaning chemistry (30 %) and water (50 %) and reduced energy consumption (up to 60 %), the process balance is to be significantly improved.
