Die Renergiewerke Haselund planen die Errichtung und den Betrieb eies Nahwärmenetzes in der Gemeinde Haselund in NF. Gut 50 Haushalte, einige gewerbliche Unternehmen sowie die kommunalen Liegenschaften, wie die Grundschule und das Feuerwehrhaus, sollen über ein Wärmenetz mit erneuerbarer Wärme aus zwei örtlichen Biogasanlagen versorgt werden. Die Gemeinde Haselund hält 50 % der Anteile an der Betreibergesellschaft, der lokale Bürgerwindpark Obere Arlau 25,1 % und die GP Joule Gruppe 24,9 %. Durch den Ersatz fossiler Brennstoffe in der dezentralen Wärmebereitstellung und die Nutzbarmachung von vor Ort verfügbaren regenerativen Energieträgern, können jährlich gut 400 Tonnen an CO 2-Emissionen eingespart werden.
