With this measure, the IPM is implementing its contribution to the establishment of the Sustainable Energy Valley projected jointly with Albert Ludwigs University and Fraunhofer ISE in Freiburg. In this building, for example, metrological innovations for the energy transition are tested, with application-oriented cutting-edge research helping SMEs to reduce the use of energy and resources in their production and at the same time to increase quality. Measuring systems developed by the IPM are used in infrastructure monitoring and thus contribute to the preservation of roads, railways, bridges and tunnels. They enable safe and efficient use of renewable gas and increase product safety in the production of renewable energy. In addition, novel concepts for heat and cooling technology are being explored. They operate without coolants and mechanical wear parts and have the potential to revolutionise heating and refrigeration technology. (English) | |||||||||||||||

(German)
