The main objective of this project is to increase the volume of electricity generated from the Borowo water power plant. 757.58 MWh/year. Implementation of the task will, inter alia, avoid carbon dioxide emissions of nearly 630 tonnes per year, as well as other harmful substances emitted into the atmosphere by conventional power plants. The purpose of the upgrade of EW is to equip the object with an additional high efficiency water turbine with a power of approximately. 0,7 MWe and new electrical equipment include, inter alia, the replacement of the 15 kV switchgear with an overhead station to a centre station with dry transformers. The new turbine will be mounted in an existing undeveloped chamber and will adopt the entire characteristic flow of the middle year, leaving the existing two hydro units in the reserve at low levels, limiting their work to peak flows on average over a few days a year. This solution minimises the environmental impact of retrofitting. The installation of a new hydropower plant and the replacement of the existing equipment will prolong the expected ‘life time’ of the plant, given for use around the plant. 1918-1919. Performance studies of existing hydro-teams have shown that they are currently achieving a maximum level. 77 %. An efficiency of 85 % was still observed in 1967. Further deterioration of the performance parameters is envisaged as well as an increase in the failure rate of the installed equipment. Maintaining the existing hydropower plant is cheaper than building a new facility. The project can only be carried out if the grant is awarded. This affects the 2020 financial year of the financial rights granted to RES and the relatively low price of electricity. The project “Modernisation of the Borów hydroelectric power station” will be carried out in the municipality of Kalisz Pomerania, which belongs to the so called SSW — strategy area (English)

Specjalnej Strefy Wyłączenia (SSW) – obszaru strategi (Polish)
