The project concerns the upgrading of Civil Protection in the Region of Central Macedonia (ICM) through the supply of necessary equipment, both for the services of the CMI and for the voluntary civil protection groups active in the Region, in the framework of initiatives aimed at enhancing prevention and the potential for tackling natural disasters in high-risk zones. In the effort to deal with natural disasters, a very important role is played by the General Secretariat for Civil Protection Volunteer Civil Protection Organisations, which are proven to be active in civil protection actions within the administrative territory of the UKM. 60 Civil Protection Voluntary Organisations are active in the UK. The Region has received requests from many of them for the provision of necessary equipment, as many of the Organisations have obsolete or incomplete equipment. (English) | |||||||||||||||

Το έργο αφορά στην αναβάθμιση της Πολιτικής Προστασίας στην Περιφέρεια Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας (ΠΚΜ) μέσω της προμήθειας απαραίτητου εξοπλισμού, τόσο για τις υπηρεσίες της ΠΚΜ όσο και για τις εθελοντικές ομάδες πολιτικής προστασίας που δραστηριοποιούνται στην Περιφέρεια, στο πλαίσιο ανάληψης πρωτοβουλιών που στοχεύουν στην ενίσχυση της πρόληψης και των δυνατοτήτων αντιμετώπισης φυσικών καταστροφών σε ζώνες υψηλού κινδύνου. Στην προσπάθεια αντιμετώπισης φυσικών καταστροφών, πολύ σημαντικό ρόλο διαδραματίζουν οι αναγνωρισμένες από τη Γενική Γραμματεία Πολιτικής Προστασίας Εθελοντικές Οργανώσεις Πολιτικής Προστασίας, οι οποίες αποδεδειγμένα ενεργοποιούνται σε δράσεις πολιτικής προστασίας εντός της διοικητικής επικράτειας της ΠΚΜ. Στην ΠΚΜ δραστηριοποιούνται 60 Εθελοντικές Οργανώσεις πολιτικής προστασίας. Η Περιφέρεια έχει λάβει αιτήματα από πολλές από αυτές για την χορήγηση απαραίτητου εξοπλισμού, καθώς πολλές από τις Οργανώσεις διαθέτουν απαρχαιωμένο ή ελλιπή εξοπλισμό. (Greek)
