The project “Centre and operation of the Community and Mobile Unit in the Municipality of Kalamata with the area of responsibility of the Regional Unit of Messinia” concerns the operation of an enlarged Community Centre, as a service of one stop for the service of vulnerable social groups in the prefecture of Messinia. The aim of the Community Centres is to support first grade TABs in the implementation of social protection policies, the development of a local reference point for the reception, service and interconnection of citizens with all Social Programmes and Services implemented in the ‘Community Centre’ intervention area and social inclusion and the promotion of employment, vulnerable groups of the local population. The “Expanded Community Centres” cover all categories of vulnerable groups, and are supported by the Region’s Social Integration Staff Structure in providing tools, systems and specialties that Community Centres do not have. It should be noted that the municipalities of West Manis, Triphylia, Oichalia, Pylos-Nestoros, Messina will be supported through a “Mobile Unit”, which is a “arm” of the Community Centre. The intervention area is the whole of the prefecture of Messinia, so that there is no distinction in the provision of services, regardless of the place of residence of each citizen, so as to effectively combat social exclusion with a basic parameter of spatial dimension and local specificities. Το έργο «Συγκρότηση και λειτουργία Κέντρου Κοινότητας και Κινητής Μονάδας στο Δήμος Καλαμάτας με περιοχή ευθύνης την Περιφερειακή Ενότητα Μεσσηνίας» αφορά στη λειτουργία ενός διευρυμένου Κέντρου Κοινότητας, ως υπηρεσία μιας στάσης για την εξυπηρέτηση ευάλωτων κοινωνικών ομάδων του νομού Μεσσηνίας. Σκοπός των Κέντρων Κοινότητας είναι η υποστήριξη των ΟΤΑ Α' Βαθμού στην εφαρμογή πολιτικών κοινωνικής προστασίας, στην ανάπτυξη ενός τοπικού σημείου αναφοράς για την υποδοχή, εξυπηρέτηση και διασύνδεση των πολιτών με όλα τα Κοινωνικά Προγράμματα και Υπηρεσίες που υλοποιούνται στην περιοχή παρέμβασης του «Κέντρου Κοινότητας» και στην κοινωνική ένταξη και την προώθηση στην απασχόληση, των ευπαθών ομάδων του τοπικού πληθυσμού. Τα «Διευρυμένα Κέντρα Κοινότητας» καλύπτουν όλες τις κατηγορίες των ευπαθών ομάδων, και υποστηρίζονται από την «Επιτελική Δομή Κοινωνικής Ένταξης» της Περιφέρειας ως προς την παροχή εργαλείων, συστημάτων και ειδικοτήτων που δεν διαθέτουν τα Κέντρα Κοινότητας. Επισημαίνεται ότι οι Δήμοι Δυτ. Μάνης, Τριφυλίας, Οιχαλίας, Πύλου-Νέστορος, Μεσσήνης θα υποστηρίζονται μέσω «Κινητής Μονάδας», η οποία αποτελεί «βραχίονα» του Κέντρου Κοινότητας. H περιοχή παρέμβασης είναι το σύνολο του νομού Μεσσηνίας, έτσι ώστε να μην υπάρχει διάκριση στην παροχή υπηρεσιών, ανεξάρτητα από τον τόπο διαμονής κάθε πολίτη, έτσι ώστε να καταπολεμηθεί με ουσιαστικό τρόπο ο κοινωνικός αποκλεισμός με βασική παράμετρο τη χωρική διάσταση και τις τοπικές ιδιαιτερότητες.
