Projekt jest odpowiedzią na potrzebę przeciwdziałania degradacji terenów nadbrzeżnych i zanieczyszczenia środowiska naturalnego na terenie Powiatu Żywieckiego. Ideą przewodnią projektu jest ekologia, ochrona przyrody, poprawa różnorodności biologicznej oraz zrównoważone wykorzystanie walorów przyrodniczych na obszarze Powiatu. W ramach realizacji projektu zostaną przeprowadzone: - Działania przyrodnicze i rekultywacja, - Budowa Centrum Edukacji Ekologicznej ARKA (wraz z ścieżkami dydaktycznymi i sezonowym centrum edukacji ekologicznej) - Kampania edukacyjno - informacyjna i promocja projektu, - Dokumentacja i nadzory. Zadanie zostanie zrealizowane w latach 2018-2020. Jest to projekt partnerski. Wnioskodawcą jest Powiat Żywiecki, partnerami: Beskidzkie Stowarzyszenie Produkcji Ekologicznej i Turystki BEST PROEKO Jeleśnia, Beskidzkie Stowarzyszenie Rozwoju Obszarów Wiejskich i Kształcenia Ludności Rychwałd.
