The circus sector is an example of artistic excellence and a source of influence and employment in the cross-border area. Faced with declining public funding and a change of scale, due to internationalization, programmers and artists take fewer risks, initiating a vicious circle that hinders creativity and employment; the last being very precarious, especially for young artists who are finding it increasingly difficult to forge their way in the job market. The question is: in that context, how can we help new talents to emerge and to seize new opportunities while we raise their awareness of an entrepreneurial and international approach? After observing the successes and weaknesses of the several experimental projects carried out by circus actors of the cross-border space, with Travesía we aim to: - Capitalize on the achievements of previous projects and establish an action strategy for the next 10 years. - Transform our methods of supporting artists in their employment and creative process to adapt to future changes. - A collaborative study to capitalize on cross-border and international cooperation experiences carried out by the partners. It will include: 1 analytical study and 1 participatory, contributory and mobilizing process, materialized in 3 workshops. (English)
