CCI MAYOTTE — ECONOMIC VALORISATION OF THE COSMETOPA, PHARMACOPOEIA AND SPICES SECTORS OF THE SOUTH-WEST INDIAN OCEAN — THE PAPAM COUNTER
Property / summary

The aim of the project for the economic valorisation of the cosmetopea, pharmacopoeia and spices sectors is to stimulate a dynamic of development on all the value chains of these sectors. It is part of a regional approach across 6 countries in the southwestern Indian Ocean (Mayotte, Madagascar, Comoros, Réunion, Mauritius, Seychelles) and is complementary to the project led by Qualitropic (La Réunion) with the support of AFD, Cap Business and Cosmetic Valley. The operation is a continuation of a project developed by Cap Business which aimed to develop cluster initiatives in essential oils and natural cosmetic products and to network them on a regional scale. The project carried out by the CCIM aims to take stock of the sectors in each territory from the production of raw materials to the marketing of processed products, to draw up a list of plants of interest for each field and of the potential for valorisation, to pool the skills and resources available by creating a cluster of professionals, to identify the needs for the development of an adapted training engineering and to assist the actors in setting up processing sectors for local consumption, but also in their innovation efforts and their export strategy.
