The strategic objectives of economic development are the tourism development of the Drava region. Water transport can give a significant step forward in tourism to the region already lagging behind. The main objective of the project is an approach from a different angle to the natural attractions: designing the culture of Drava water tourism. The elements implemented in the project will facilitate the development of the Drava water tourism in short and long term as well. This is supported by a well-made multi-lingual mobile application which would help navigation on River Drava. It contains the following functions: tourism attractions, mooring facilities, safely navigable routes. The objectives of the project are prospective; the guide will provide all information for future tourist in discovering the Drava river area. Main objective of the project is to attract more tourists to visit the beautiful, untouched areas of Drava where they can enjoy an active leisure time and to raise interest in protected areas and population activation in their upkeep. The project aims at developing sustainable use of protected areas without endangering them through development of adjecent areas outside of protected areas and doing so in a way that does not endanger the protected areas. To make the water tourism more valuable, we plan to create a booklet containing the natural and cultural heritage sites of the Hungarian and Croatian settlements along the River Drava. (English)
