    The main problem of the borderland is decreasing of the local culture and tradition, which constitute about the character of the region. The local culture may lead to tourism development through increasing the attractiveness of the B1 and LB as well as encourage the potential tourists to interest on the regions history and culture. As a consequences of the project implementation the number of visitors of the culture monuments, historical places and others can increase, what will result on the region development in many fields connected with tourism. Through the project partners cooperation it is planned to achieve the main purpose: Improvement of the image and attractiveness of LB and B1 through cooperation of local communities and institutions in the field of cultivation of local tradition and culture. For implementation of the project purposes will be bought equipment and products necessary to the project activities, which will be used by the partners during the project as well as after the project ending based on common cooperation program for next 2 years after ending, including: common promotion events, thematic workshops, exchange of the project personnel and other. Outputs indicators: - Number of cross-border cultural events organised with support of EIS: 6 (The feasts: "The Kupala Night" in LP; The seminar "Decrease the culture of the borderland" in B1; The thematic workshops of music and handicraft and plasticity in B1and in LP). - Number of publications describing cultural and/or historical heritage of the region - 1 album, "The Craftsmans of the borderland" printed in 1000 copies. - Number of exchanges of staff responsible for the management of historical and cultural heritage - 4. Implementation of the project affects on the PL-BY borderland, that’s why the long-term and cross-border cooperation is necessary. The common activities of LP and B1 , including exchange of experience will have a positive impact on development of the regions. (English)
