The activities under the project are based on exploring, presenting and exploiting the potential of a territory with rich cultural capacity and historical heritage for the development of rural tourism. The learning phase will be preceded by an expert opinion, the results of which will identify the learning needs and this will be the basis for the creation of all training tools and materials. Education within the project will be organised on three levels, and education as part of a pilot training, which will bring the participants closer to the topic of rural tourism, will open possibilities or attract interest and awaken the desire for further education. At the second level, the pilot training will be uninterruptedly connected and included in the faculty at both universities. It will concern the potential of the PL-SK borderland in detail and utilising it in rural tourism. The curriculum at both levels will include theoretical and practical information needed for entrepreneurial and operational activities in rural tourism (services, legislation, management, marketing) with the use of local and regional specificity, sources, exceptionality, maintaining natural and cultural excellences, focusing on the revitalisation of the country, the landscape and friendly approach to the environment with the use of renewable energy sources. 3. Education will focus on students. Its aim will be to present, in an attractive form, the potential of the territory, the possibilities and rural tourism conditions, gain their interest in the activities/entrepreneurship/effects in rural tourism and the need of further education in this field. Innovative education tools and procedures will ensure improvement in the quality of cross-border education, e.g. easier access to research material, better understanding of the problem and a more interesting way of learning, as well as environmental protection. The activities involve the organisation of international conferences to share knowledge on the borderland, its properties and issues, as well as creation of a website for the project. (English)
