The Mezőcsát subregion, consisting of nine settlements with 14 780 inhabitants, is located in the south-eastern part of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county. The county organisation attempts to reach the target audience in eight regional offices with Borsod — Abaúj — Zemplén county authority. The offices are available in the following municipalities: Miskolc, Kazincbarcika, Ózd, Mezőkövesd, Tiszaújváros, Encs, Szerencs, Sátoraljaújhely. Taken together, 611 volunteers carry out their statutory tasks. Impoverishment is a fundamental problem in the region. The organisation’s work so far has been outstanding as health education, HIV/AIDS prevention, first-aid and accident simulation demonstrations and lectures were organised in the small region. There are 8 Red Cross Base Schools and 1 Base School in the county. In these Base Institutions, the most important activities of the Red Cross are managed through various pedagogical programmes. Currently, the target group is parents with children living in Mezőcsa and its surroundings, couples who are preparing to marry or have children, parents who wish to return to the labour market after having children. In addition, young people who are interested in dating and responsible relationship behaviour, as well as all those who wish to seek advice from professionals in matters of relationship, marriage and other family matters, would be a target group. The aim of the organisation is to provide active, cooperative programmes for people living in Mezőcsa and its region, where preparation for family life, child-raising and childcare, as well as families in specific and difficult situations, are the main themes of the project “Protection Network for Families in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County”. The organisation intends to develop the members of the local target group through various self-knowledge techniques such as SWOT analysis or self-image. The organisation also wants to autopsy the relationship problems, and then examine its own personal situation assessment with a focus on family planning. It aims to involve members of existing families in the area of conflicts and their resolutions, as well as the arrival of a new family member and the creation of a mosaic family to alleviate differences in values between perceptions. The Mezőcsáti department of the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Organisation of the Hungarian Red Cross also aims to solve this problem. As a further accomplishment, the organisation has taken as a basis the organisation of various events and counselling, with which it intends to establish closer and deeper contact between the target group and to maintain the values of the region. The number of small group trainings is 7, where the project aims to achieve a maximum of 7 people. In terms of advice, the organisation wants to implement 13 advices in different topics, where it would like to involve 1 person in each topic, 20 times. 18 workshops will be organised in the large group sessions, with a maximum of 20 people involved. Each workshop will be organised once. The Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Organisation of the Hungarian Red Cross aims to achieve these goals, and its main objectives are the protection of life, health, respect for the human personality, alleviation of human suffering and social problems. These have always been achieved through their network connection, which has been well-established for years, thanks to cooperation with municipalities and civil society organisations. (English)

A kilenc településből álló, 14 780 fős Mezőcsáti kistérség Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén megye délkeleti részén található. A megyei szervezet Borsod – Abaúj – Zemplén megyei hatáskörrel nyolc területi irodában próbálja elérni a célközönséget. Az irodák a következő településeken érhetők el: Miskolc, Kazincbarcika, Ózd, Mezőkövesd, Tiszaújváros, Encs, Szerencs, Sátoraljaújhely. Együttesen tekintve 611 fő önkéntes segítségével végzi az alapszabályban meghatározott feladatait. Az elszegényesedés alapproblémaként jelenik meg a térségben. A szervezet eddigi munkája kimagasló volt, hiszen a kistérségben az egészségnevelési, HIV/AIDS prevenciós, elsősegélynyújtó és baleseti szimulációs bemutatókat, előadásokat szervezett. A megyében 8 Vöröskereszt Bázisiskola, illetve 1 Bázisóvoda működik. Ezekben a Bázisintézményekben különböző pedagógiai programokba építve kezelik a Vöröskereszt legfontosabb tevékenységeit. A szervezet kiscsoportos tréningek száma 7 darab, ahol maximum 7 fő bevonást kívánja elérni a projekt. A tanácsadásokat tekintve 13, különböző témakörben megjelenő tanácsadást akar megvalósítani a szervezet, ahol minden témakörben 1 főt kívánna bevonni, 20 alkalommal. (Hungarian)
