Property / summary

Kaamps Cheese is a family business that produces artisanal cheeses. The milk of our own cows is used to make this cheese. The company is constantly developing and producing new cheese specialties. The company has customers in the Netherlands but is also strongly internationalising. The company is strongly innovating, in terms of products and process technology. These developments call for a new internal business organisation with different job profiles and a multidisciplinary employability of employees. The current entrepreneurial couple wants to withdraw from the company in the long term and in this way wants to make the company future-proof. In the previous ESF trajectory, the main focus was on developing the competences of the intended successors (children). This process focuses on the development of the other employees. In the company organisation, one wants to change the functions, make the employees multidisciplinary and give more responsibility. Current and future employees must thus become more employable and able to work more independently in order to ensure the employment and continuity of the company. Guiding the employees in the production to the new approach to entrepreneurship is therefore an important part of the process. Employee competences are mapped and assessed against job requirements of interest in entrepreneurship (e.g. ownership, initiative, result orientation and external orientation). Training needs are also identified. The trajectory focuses on giving employees responsibility and offering development opportunities. External support is provided by Albert Frankenhuis of ProBC, who will guide the team, both through individual guidance programs and group sessions. Within the company there is a lot of support for this process because it fits well with the personal ambitions of employees. (English)

(Dutch)
