Property / summary

Vivent employs + 1450 employees, 600 of whom are women aged 45-60. This is the age group that women come into contact with the transition. The transition lasts on average 10 years. The symptoms of the transition can be experienced as varying. 1/3 of women actually experience limitations in their functioning due to the symptoms of transition. Transitional symptoms can be both physical and mental in nature and are not always recognised as complaints from this age phase due to lack of knowledge and taboo on the subject. Research has already been carried out within Vivent, which shows that transition symptoms and work ability have a direct (negative) coherence. Both influence each other, which can cause a vicious circle. Ultimately, this is a potential risk for absenteeism and the sustainable employability of our employees in this age group. In addition, absenteeism in this age group is significantly higher and longer than the other age groups within the organisation. Reason to use extra attention and action on this topic from within the organisation. Through training/coaching of this target group, we want to ensure that our employees can work healthy and vitally up to the retirement age. (English)

(Dutch)
