Ziel des Vorhabens sind Entwicklung, Bau und Testbetrieb eines Wellenkraftwerks im Modellmaßstab. Die Testanlage dient als neue Energieforschungsinfrastruktur mit „Reallabor“-Charakter. Als Antriebskonzept wird ein Linear-Generator im Schwimmkörper verwendet, womit direkt die kinetische Energie infolge der Wellenbewegung in elektrische Energie umgewandelt werden kann. (German)

The test facility serves as a new energy research infrastructure with a “real laboratory” character. L’objectif du projet est le développement, la construction et l’exploitation d’essais d’une centrale houlomotrice à l’échelle du modèle. L’installation d’essais sert de nouvelle infrastructure de recherche énergétique à caractère «réel». Le concept d’entraînement utilise un générateur linéaire dans le corps flottant, ce qui permet de convertir directement l’énergie cinétique en énergie électrique due au mouvement de l’arbre. (French)

De testfaciliteit dient als een nieuwe infrastructuur voor energieonderzoek met een „echt laboratorium”-karakter.
