Projekt zakłada budowę nowego terminalu promowego we wschodniej części Portu Gdynia wraz z infrastrukturą towarzyszącą umożliwiającą sprawną obsługę ładunków i pasażerów oraz poprawę dostępności transportowej portu oraz przebudowę układu komunikacyjnego do wschodniej części Portu Gdynia w obrębie Węzła Ofiar Grudnia ’70.Podstawowym założeniem projektu jest stworzenie warunków do dalszego rozwoju usług promowych zgodnie z obserwowanymi trendami rynkowymi.Terminal przejmie funkcje dotychczas eksploatowanego, niedużego terminalu na Nabrzeżu Helskim II. W założonym kształcie projekt przyczyni się do realizacji Strategicznych Wytycznych Wspólnoty, Strategii Europa 2020, Białej Księgi Transportu oraz krajowej Strategii Rozwoju Transportu do 2020 r. The project assumes the construction of a new ferry terminal in the eastern part of the Gdynia Port, together with an infrastructure that facilitates efficient handling of cargo and passengers and improves the transport accessibility of the port and the reconstruction of the transport system to the eastern part of the Gdynia Port within the Victims‘Node of December’70. The project will contribute to the implementation of the Community Strategic Guidelines, the Europe 2020 Strategy, the White Paper on Transport and the National Transport Development Strategy by 2020 (with a view to 2030).
