The aim of this project is to continue in the preservation and upgrading of the oldest working national theatre in the World and a Grade 1, listed, and scheduled building: the Manoel Theatre. This project will provide an improved, high-quality experience to the patrons of the Manoel Theatre through the implementation and installation of a new ventilation and acclimatization system, which replaces the ventilation system installed in 1811, and which is not adequate to create a comfortable ambiance in terms of air temperature control, humidity levels and air purification. In addition to the climate control system, the roof, seating and floor of the same theatre will be revamped. By means of this investment the theatre shall benefit from improved acoustics which are critical for Malta's only opera venue. (English)

Ziel dieses Projekts ist es, die Erhaltung und Modernisierung des ältesten arbeitenden Nationaltheaters der Welt sowie ein in der Klasse 1 aufgeführtes und geplantes Gebäude fortzusetzen: das Manoel-Theater. Dieses Projekt wird den Gönnern des Manoel-Theaters eine verbesserte und hochwertige Erfahrung bieten, indem ein neues Lüftungs- und Akklimatisierungssystem eingeführt und installiert wird, das das 1811 installierte Lüftungssystem ersetzt und das nicht ausreicht, um ein angenehmes Ambiente in Bezug auf die Temperaturregelung, die Luftfeuchtigkeit und die Luftreinigung zu schaffen. Neben dem Klimaleitsystem werden Dach, Sitzgelegenheiten und Boden des gleichen Theaters umgestaltet. Durch diese Investition soll das Theater von verbesserter Akustik profitieren, die für Maltas einziger Opernsaal von entscheidender Bedeutung ist. (German)

Ce projet fournira une expérience améliorée et de haute qualité aux clients du théâtre Manoel grâce à la mise en place et à l’installation d’un nouveau système de ventilation et d’acclimatation, qui remplace le système de ventilation installé en 1811, et qui n’est pas adéquat pour créer une ambiance confortable en termes de contrôle de la température de l’air, de niveaux d’humidité et de purification de l’air. En plus du système de contrôle climatique, le toit, le siège et le plancher du même théâtre seront réaménagés. Grâce à cet investissement, le théâtre bénéficiera d’une acoustique améliorée qui est essentielle pour le seul lieu d’opéra de Malte. (French)
