La requalification de la cité Taffin participe au 1er programme expérimental des éco-cités minières UNESCO. Ce programme vise la requalification de cet habitat spécifique par la mise en œuvre d’un programme intégré prenant en compte outre la dimension logement, des enjeux urbains, paysagers et architecturaux, sociaux et environnementaux. Le traitement qualitatif retenu est réalisé à la fois pour la rénovation intérieure et extérieure des logements. Un traitement architectural enrichi permet de valoriser ce patrimoine au niveau des façades (remise au jour des éléments d’origine) et des abords (séparation domaine public/domaine privé, traitement des eaux de pluie par infiltration et enfouissement des réseaux électriques et téléphoniques). The requalification of the city Taffin participates in the 1st experimental programme of UNESCO mining eco-cities. This programme aims at the requalification of this specific habitat through the implementation of an integrated programme which also takes into account the housing dimension, urban, landscape and architectural, social and environmental issues. The qualitative treatment chosen is carried out both for the interior and exterior renovation of the dwellings. An enriched architectural treatment allows this heritage to be valued at the level of the facades (recovery of the original elements) and the surrounding areas (public/private domain separation, rainwater treatment by infiltration and burial of electrical and telephone networks).
