As part of the Thuringian Initiative for Integration, Sustainability, Cooperation and Activation (Thinka III), the state capital Erfurt, the Office for Social Affairs and Health, intends to continue the Thinka Erfurt project, which was launched in 2015, as a social citizen service in the social space Berliner Platz/Rieth. The social infrastructure of this selected disadvantaged Erfurt social area is to be further developed and sustainably established by the continuation of this local or social space-related social point of contact for citizens. Due to the successes so far and positive response of project partners and on-site actors, the Erfurt Municipality intends to continue the cooperation with MitMenschen e. V. as implementing project promoter. There is a continuous coordination with the city administration. The purpose of the contact point is to develop and establish the neutral, low-threshold offer created directly in the residential district — i.e. in the concrete world of life of those seeking help. This will continue to contribute to social inclusion, to improving employability and to reducing the individual poverty situation of disadvantaged groups, especially the long-term unemployed, older transfer recipients, people with multiple problems, single parents, people with a migration/disappearance background, people with disabilities. The aim of the work is to further develop and consolidate the identified and initiated social space-oriented network structures with the involvement of local actors. The aim is to make social infrastructure more easily accessible to those seeking assistance in the future. The aim is to combat poverty and to improve the quality of life in the selected disadvantaged housing districts. Priority must be given to using existing services and making them accessible through networking. (English)

(German)
