In accordance with the “Land strategy for practical vocational orientation” in Thuringia, it is a challenge for a practical and successful career orientation to focus more on the resources of all young people, to encourage young people to develop their talents and to provide them with the necessary support. The concept “NoA — Not without completion!” describes measures to reduce the proportion of pupils without a degree — Subject 2.1 of the ESF School Support Directive (status: 03.09.2015) — at TGS Kaulsdorf and RS Gräfenthal in the district Saalfeld-Rudolstadt. The main objective of the planned measures is to strengthen pupils’ skills in both schools. Both technical and school knowledge and skills for attaining the school leaving certificate are promoted as well as social competences within the framework of the offers. Students should be enabled to self-directed learning through differentiated and needs-based measures. For example, actions and offers are planned in the following areas of work within the framework of the concept: • Empowering pupils in their personality by teaching and acquiring key competences and providing appropriate (self-) experience spaces • Promoting social skills • Promoting empowerment • Promotion in personal learning behaviour • Preventing school failure/sustaining school success and • Avoiding school drop-outs The project implementation for the target group of pupils is carried out in individual targeted consultations or in thematic group work. In addition to individually tailored training courses for the development of skills for action (such as conflict management strategies) as well as to promote social skills (such as team and communication skills), activities also include improving learning behaviour/promoting learning in order to improve individual learning motivation and learning behaviour and thus ensure school success. According to the possible priorities and as a result of the need for action that schools designate, the teachers and/or the school management as well as actors of school networks are also to be described as target groups, who also act as partners. Teachers, including school leaders, are offered topic-specific training to help them cope with their work under the focus of the subject matter. You will also be given the opportunity to deepen the knowledge gained from the training courses by means of coaching and make them applicable to themselves. In addition, the school management receives coaching through external and/or internal trainers in the process support, i.e. in the overall strategic and content management of the school development process at the respective school. The cross-school approach is an innovative project. The number of schools involved ensures that results from the defined fields of action are effective on a flat scale. Project participants will have access to a unique network of key actors from education, business and society. They also have the opportunity to sharpen and develop their sense of problems and, above all, solutions in all issues of sustainable and responsible action. Finally, the programme develops a solution to a concrete individual, social and economic problem. The two schools themselves are the places of action and are organised on a point-by-point basis, such as a holiday camp or network meetings, at nearby locations in the district. The duration of the project is planned from 01.01.2016 to 31.07.2018. (English) | |||||||||||||||

(German)
