    Die Demografieagentur identifiziert mit Betrieben im Rahmen einer Erstberatung möglichen Beratungsbedarf hinsichtlich der vier Handlungsfelder von uWM. Förderfähige KMU können über einen Beratungsscheck eine bezuschusste Prozessberatung beantragen. Neben Erstberatung und Ergebnisgespräch werden die KMU zudem bei Antragstellung, Abrechnung etc. begleitet. Betriebe, die nach Abschluss der Erstberatung nicht förderfähig sind oder nach der Prozessberatung zusätzlichen Bedarf haben, werden über uWM hinaus auf regionale und landesweite Unterstützungsangebote hingewiesen. Die Demografieagentur unterstützt das BMAS bei der Akquise und Autorisierung der ProzessberaterInnen und macht das Projekt über eine breit angelegte Öffentlichkeits- und Pressearbeit bekannt. Mit der Durchführung der Ergebnisgespräche nach der Prozessberatung trägt die Demografieagentur zur Qualitätssicherung bei und ermöglicht dem jeweiligen KMU gegebenenfalls eine zusätzliche Förderung über einen zweiten Beratungsscheck.
