The vocational German course within the framework of the ESF-BAMF programme offers people with German as a second language the opportunity for professional (further) qualification in order to increase the chances of active participation in the labour market. With a total of 730 lessons in 6 months, the course “Office Communication A2±B2+” consists of the components “German Lessons” and a “Qualification” of three parts: Technical lessons, internships and company visits. Both components and partial aspects of the course are closely interlinked and coordinated with each other in terms of content and methodology. For example, German lessons are concerned with the provision of vocational-related German skills, in which professional, professional and job-related topics are dealt with. On the one hand, the course will include specialist knowledge for professional upskilling in the field of office communication/EDV, as well as offer content and methods for professional (re)orientation, as well as application training. From the point of view of sustainability, strategies for self-directed learning are taught in particular. The course is based on action- and participant-oriented approaches (different social forms, role-playing, project lessons, etc.). The three company visits are aimed at getting acquainted with the regional labour market, as well as general and specific company structures in preparation for the internship and the start of a job or training post after successful completion of the course. The 4-week internship offers the possibility of practical application of the competences and skills developed in the course. It also serves professional orientation. (English)

(German)
