Small, easy-to-use Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), which communicate with each other, are still not available on the market as standard. The positive market development of recent years in the field of sensors and batteries makes it possible to develop two co-operating AUVs made in Schleswig-Holstein for different tasks and to build them as prototypes in this collaborative project. In these modular innovative underwater vehicles, drive, navigation, telemetry (acoustic and optical modems), payload as well as sensors as well as the battery system are the main components of the system.
