(German)

The core of the bioenergy village Kreenheinstetten is a local heating and fibre network with more than fifty connections and over four kilometres in length as well as a large buffer tank. It is built according to the most modern findings regarding insulation, processing, grid losses, fittings, etc. The energy center is the Bäumlehof. It is located a little more than a kilometer from the outskirts. The Bioland biogas plant there, which is operated only with residues and grassland, i.e. without growing biomass such as maize, supplies electricity and flexibly feeds waste heat into the grid. The second energy source is wood chips. Other renewable energy sources, such as solar heat, can be supplemented. (English)
