Gegenstand der Randolph Schröder GmbH ist die Herstellung von Schneidklingen für das gesamte Scherenprogramm des Schwesterunternehmens Gebr. Schröder GmbH. Die Endprodukte dieses bereits in dritter Generation geführten Familienunternehmens werden in über 90 Ländern der Welt unter dem Claim "Original LÖWE-Scheren" vertrieben.Das kontinuierliche Geschäftswachstum von "Original LÖWE-Scheren" hat dazu geführt, dass die Randolph Schröder GmbH in ihren bisherigen Betriebsräumlichkeiten am Seefischmarkt in Kiel an die Kapazitätsgrenze gelangt ist. Ein reibungsloser Produktionsablauf ist nur noch unter erschwerten Bedingungen zu gewährleisten. Da eine Erweiterung am vorhandenen (gemieteten) Standort ausscheidet, sieht sich das Unternehmen veranlasst, seinen Gesamtbetrieb zu verlagern.Zur Förderung beantragt wird die Errichtung einer Produktionsstätte für Scherenwerkzeuge in Flintbek.Das Investitionsvorhaben umfasst den Neubau eines Betriebsgebäudes inklusive Verwaltungstrakt sowie Produktions-, Lager- und Logistikflächen. Der zukünftige Produktionsstandort wird gemeinsam mit dem Schwesterunternehmen Gebr. Schröder GmbH bezogen (siehe LPW-E/2.2.1/264). Das zur Förderung beantragten Investitionsvorhaben leistet einen wesentlichen Beitrag zur langfristigen Stärkung der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit.
