The objective of the project is to demonstrate and validate, in the operational conditions, the innovative technology for the recovery of zinc in the process of blast furnace from mixtures of steel waste with the treatment of secondary slag for lean iron ore (KIS 10).The result of the project will be a process of innovation in the world and will significantly improve the efficiency of the management of tailings from the zinc and steel industry in the process, thus increasing the competitiveness of the Polish zinc industry in world markets. The implementation of the Project’s results will at the same time be a breakthrough in the steel sector, as a further effect, thanks to the use of steel frames in the feed mix, will be the extraction of slag which is a substitute for lean iron ore, which will create an opportunity for the industry as a whole to manage the installation of steel sludge in an economically efficient manner. In order to verify the authorship of the technology developed in the course of the multiannual research and simulation, it is only possible to obtain definitive confirmation of its effectiveness by means of tests and optimisation tests on a scale close to the industrial scale, on the current technology infrastructure of the Company (industrial roller furnaces).Implementation of project results will take place at the Applicant’s establishment in Bukownie, in Małopolskie Province, contributing to economic development and improving the competitiveness of the Polish economy. The company has secured the necessary resources for the implementation of the Project, including that of & ndash;IMN in Gliwice. The company has exclusive intellectual property rights necessary for the implementation of the project and the implementation of its results, while at the same time implying a diffusion of external innovation through cooperation with a number of companies. Results P (English)

Celem Projektu jest demonstracja i walidacja w warunkach operacyjnych innowacyjnej technologii odzysku cynku w procesie przewałowym z mieszanin odpadów hutniczych wraz z uzdatnieniem żużli poprocesowych do postaci substytutu ubogiej rudy żelaza (KIS 10). Wdrożenie rezultatów Projektu nastąpi w Zakładzie Wnioskodawcy w Bukownie, w woj. małopolskim, przyczyniając się do rozwoju gospodarczego i podniesienia konkurencyjności polskiej gospodarki. Spółka zabezpieczyła niezbędne zasoby do realizacji Projektu, w tym pozyskała Podwykonawcę – IMN w Gliwicach. Spółka posiada wyłączne prawa własności intelektualnej niezbędne do realizacji Projektu i wdrożenia jego rezultatów, jednocześnie zakłada dyfuzję innowacji na zewnątrz poprzez współpracę z licznymi przedsiębiorstwami.
